The Queens Tape Music Festival: "World Of Tomorrow"  call for works is officially open!
World of Tomorrow is a free workshop + concert series taking place on October 18th 2025, at Our House Queens, an arts and events community space located in Astoria, Queens, NY. We are inviting composers to submit stereo and quadraphonic fixed media works up to ten minutes in length. The call is open to any fixed media, and of particular interest are soundscape compositions or works incorporating field recordings. Audiovisual fixed media works are welcome as well. Queens based composers are especially encouraged to submit.

Visit:  https://worldoftomorrow.nyc/  for full details and submission form.

This event is made possible (in part) with public funds from the Queens Arts Fund, a re-grant program supported by New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by New York Foundation for the Arts.
I’m very excited to announce that I’m a 2025 Queens Arts Fund recipient!
This project-based grant will support me in the creation of a new soundscape composition, as well as enable me to bring a workshop and tape piece concert to Astoria in October of 2025…more info about these events soon. Thank you to @nyfacurrent and @nyculture for helping to support this work!
